Mae Goodness.
So I was looking around the interwebs and I found this really cool thing that Mae, one of my favorite bands, is currently doing. This year every month they are going to release a new song to the internet for download(yeah I know you’ve probably already heard this one with the Bouncing Souls releasing a new album 1 track at a time all year) but this is a bit different, and no its not free. They are releasing 12 songs 1 a month for 2009. You can pay a minimum of $1 for 1 song or pay whatever you would like. The catch is all the money that is raised is going to towards a humanitarian projects.
This past month they released the song “The House That Fire Built” and all the funds are going to go to help rebuild Rhonda Floyd and her families home that was burned down this past year.
Currently they have raised $8,046.94 for the cause since 1/1/09.
So check it out donate a dollar get the song, a digital booklet for the song and a letter about where your money is going, and the good feeling in side that you’re helping out a family.
